Content Producers can utilize the Atzio platform to reach a new audience and to create specialty Internet television channels or new creative content. Until now, this new creative content has been unavailable because of the “mass” distribution nature of current TV technology wherein a significant number of potential viewers is required before the content can be broadcast. The same concept applies to the minimum number of copies required before releasing content on DVD for retail sale.

Web Portals and Online Retailers can use the Atzio platform to offer an Internet equivalent of the “Personal TV” and “Time-Shifted” business models pioneered by the leaders of the PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and DVD-by-Mail markets. These two markets have experienced a tremendous growth in the last three years, and the Internet lowers the entry-barriers that have to be overcome in order to play in this market. With the help of Atzio, new entrants can now improve and expand upon these successful models for the Internet.

Online Music Stores can expand to the online video rental market. The Atzio platform can be seamlessly integrated into the existing e-commerce applications of the music stores, providing a roadmap toward full-length music video downloads.

TV Studios – Online Archives. With the Atzio platform, TV Studios can start making part of their archives searchable and available on the Internet for paid download. The television and video industry is expected to follow the path of their printed counterparts, such as the NewYork Time Co. or Time Inc., that make archived articles retrievable online for a fee. On the filmed media front, companies such as the BBC (British Broadcast Corporation) have announced their intention to use technologies similar to data swarming for putting their archives online. Atzio is in discussion with other TV studios for enabling this model in the USA.
